Abstract

This record refers to 4 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 8, in 1965. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Robert R. Fleet from work conducted on Christmas Island and Fanning (Tabuaeran) Island. The field book includes bird observation notes; Berlese sample notes; nest counts; and banding data (listing band numbers 645-00436 to 853-54200). Envelope 2 contains a field book by L. N. Huber that includes banding data collected on Christmas Island (listing band numbers 723-44210 to 853-46500). Envelope 3 contains a field book by Fred C. Sibley that includes nest counts; observations; and banding data (listing band numbers 587-83216 to 853-48000) for work conducted on Christmas Island. Envelope 4 contains a field book by Robert S. Standen from work conducted on Christmas Island and Fanning Island. The field book includes a specimen list with numbers (042/5727 to 047/5725), sex, weight, and measurements.
