Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 8, in 1965. Envelope 1 contains a field book by L. N. Huber that includes banding data (listing band numbers 753-06613 to 853-41300) collected on Starbuck Island. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Fred C. Sibley that includes shorebird counts and and general notes from work conducted on Caroline Island. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Dennis L. Stadel from his work on Long Island, Caroline Island. The field book includes a list of birds, rats, and crabs observed on the island; banding data for Sooty terns (853-14001 to 853-15000); and some general notes.
