Abstract

Charles D. Walcott records observations of the Cambrian strata of sites across Alberta, Canada from 1909(?) to 1925. Each set of notes are several handwritten pages, generally separated into acid free envelopes. They are usually dated and titled with the location name, and generally include descriptions of the environment, latitude and longitude positions, sketches, descriptions of sections, and fossils observed, and photographs taken. Locations described include: Johnson Creek Pass, Mount Brook, Fossil Mountain, Glacier Lake Canyon Valley, Whyte formation at Ptarmigan Pass, Fairview Mountain, Sawbuck Range near Pipestone Pass, Ghost River, Devil's Gap, Siffleur River, and Saskatchewan River.
