Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise 8, in 1965. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Robert R. Fleet that includes field notes and travel notes from Canton (Kanton) Island, Tongareva Island, and Vostok Island. The field book includes banding data (listing band numbers 587-82658 to 757-89921); and nest counts. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Robert S. Standen that includes black-and-white and color photography lists; nest counts; bird banding data (listing band numbers 587-82613 to 587-82657). Envelope 3 contains a field book by L. N. Huber that includes banding data with band numbers 558-85788 to 767-42620.
