Abstract

Photographs document work completed by members of the Alaska King Crab Investigation, in which Waldo Schmitt took part. There are no descriptions on the reverse; there are numbers recorded on the front lower right hand corner. Subject matter includes examples of a variety of crustaceans, participants in the processing of collecting, examples of coastline vegetation, vistas of coastline, a ship run aground, ship in dry dock, employees processing crab, equipment at canneries(?), portrait of investigation participants aboard ship. Images may include photographs taken in Seattle, Washington and locations in the vicinity of Aleutian Islands of Alaska.
