Abstract

Black and white photographs document Galapagos tortoises observed and collected from the islands during the Hancock Pacific-Galapagos Expeditions, 1933-1935. Many images are detail images of the tortoises and eggs against a white background. Some have a measuring device in the background. There are numbers and dates on the reverse side of images. Locations were in the Galapagos Islands [Archipiélago de Colón].
