Abstract

This item is comprised of photographs (no. 1-100) taken by or for Perrygo during his collecting endeavors with Arthur J. Poole in Haiti from December 1928 to April 1929. Photographs document the landscape and vegetation of various localities, depict members of the collecting team (including an image of Perrygo preparing specimens in camp at Dondon and Perrygo and Poole holding a live boa constrictor), and document everyday Haitian people and their lifestyles. Localities included: Port-au-Prince, St. Michel, Cerca La Source, Hinche, and "Don Don" [Dondon]. A corresponding list of photographs and subjects is located in Box 2 Folder 14 of the same collection.
