Abstract

Black and white photographs are document Waldo Schmitt's work during the Hancock Pacific-Galapagos Expedition, 1933-1935. Photographs were taken by Harold W. Maunter. On the reverse side of some photographs are descriptions and year taken. Includes duplicates. Subject matter covers farms in the Galapagos Islands, examples of vegetation and terrain, local inhabitants and participants at work; participants collecting specimens on coast; birds observed; structures made out of local materials; and expedition equipment including vessels. Locations are in the Galapagos Islands [Archipiélago de Colón].
