Abstract

This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 6 June 1962 to 29 January 1963. Notes contain lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were probably observed at or near Eike's home on 2231 North Tuckahoe Street, Falls Church. Birds observed during a trip to Michigan on 21 June 1962 are included. The corner of Washington Blvd and Lee Highway in Arlington are also locations where Eike observed birds. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. Notes in different handwriting, perhaps from Eike's wife Claire, are occasionally included. Also included is a small clipping of an obituary for Angolina Covins.
