Abstract

Charles D. Walcott records observations of Cambrian strata across Vermont from 1885 to 1896. Notes are handwritten, usually titled with location and sometimes a date. Many include descriptions of sections of sites, and detail stone types, characteristics, and fossils found. In some cases, Walcott also notes latitude and longitude positions and if photographs have been taken. Sites detailed include the vicinity of Highgate Springs, Bomoseen Lake, Dunmore Lake, and Arlington. Includes notes on Granular Quartzite in Massachusetts, 1887.
