Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program Southern Island Cruise #6, in 1964. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Alan H. Anderson from his work on Baker Island, McKean Island, and Enderbury Atoll. The field book includes bird, chick, egg, and nest counts; banding data; and physical descriptions of Red-footed booby specimens. Envelope 2 contains a field book by C. D. Hackman with data collected on Baker Island, McKean Island, and Enderbury Island. It includes banding data; nest, egg, and chick counts; population estimates; and a hand-drawn map of Sooty tern, Red-footed booby, Lesser frigatebirds and Greater frigatebird colonies on McKean Island. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Charles R. Long with banding data from Baker Island, McKean Island, Enderbury Island, and Christmas Island.
