Abstract

This record refers to 3 field books created as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Southern Island Cruise #5, 1964. Envelope 1 contains a field book by an unknown author that includes data and notes from Palmyra Island, Christmas Island, McKean Island, and Howland Island. The notes include banding data; nest observations; and nest and egg counts. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Dennis L. Stadel from work conducted on Christmas Island. The field book includes 2 short lists of Sooty tern banding and returns data. Envelope 3 includes a field book by an unknown author that contains data collected on Christmas Island and Malden Island. The field book includes a list of photographs; bird observations and counts; and banding data and notes.
