Abstract

The memorabilia of the Presidential Cruise of 1938 collected by Waldo Schmitt, and include naval orders of the day, that indicate times for activities (including collecting), locations anchored, visitors,and press releases of discoveries and shipboard activities. Additionally includes memorabilia from Shellback ceremony and extra curricular activities. Covers the locations visited during the cruise in the Galapagos [Archipiélago de Colón], Panama, Mexico, Costa Rica.
