Abstract

This item refers to 3 field books by unknown authors from work conducted for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Enewetak Atoll, January 1969. Envelope 1 contains a field book with bird counts; bird observations; and banding notes. Envelope 2 contains a field book with shorebird counts indicated with tally marks; egg, nest, and chick counts; a descriptive entry on Sooty tern colonies on Janet Island, including estimated population and observations; and estimated plot areas and calculations. Also included is an entry on Ruddy turnstone predation on nesting Sooty terns. Envelope 3 contains a field book with egg counts; shorebird counts; and a blood sample list.
