Abstract

This record refers to 4 field books created during work for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program in 1968 and 1969 on Johnston Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Vernon M. Kleen with bird and nest observations; bird and egg counts; and a hand-drawn map. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Vernon M. Kleen with weather observations; bird counts; bird observations and descriptions; and mouse trapping data. Envelope 3 contains a field book by Vernon M. Kleen that includes bird counts; bird observations; and a list of photographs taken. Envelope 4 contains a field book by Philip C. Shelton that includes banding notes and data (listing band numbers 743-72804 to 933-95175); returns data; and bird and egg counts.
