Abstract

The photographs document Waldo Schmitt's work during the Smithsonian-Hartford West Indies Expedition, 1937, while in Martinique. Some images are numbered. Some are duplicated. Subject matter includes coastline, examples of inland vegetation, stone structures, portrait of colleagues, farmland seen from ship, street scenes, and stone structures.
