Abstract

This record refers to 2 field books from the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, April-September 1967 on Johnston Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Walter Bulmer and David L. Burckhalter. The book includes bird counts; egg and nest data; tick data (listing ticks collected from birds); and bird banding data (including band numbers 642-03033 to 933-90204). Envelope 2 contains a field book by Philip C. Shelton and B. A. Harrington that consists of a catalog of invertebrates and miscellaneous specimens. Included are notes on species and location observed for mollusks, slugs, snails, and other invertebrates, as well as algae. Specimen collection and preservation notes are also present.
