Abstract

The sixth folder of miscellaneous photographs document Waldo Schmitt's work during the Hancock Pacific-Galapagos Expeditions, 1933-1935. Some images have descriptions on the reverse side. Subject matter includes detail and broad images of area vegetation including woods; observed wildlife (individual and flocks of birds, tortoises, marine life); residential structures; postcards of Riobamba; skylines of towns; participants collecting specimens; cliffs of coastline; local inhabitants; and birds being collected. Locations are through out Ecuador including Quito, Riobamba, and Galapagos [Archipiélago de Colón].
