Abstract

The fifth folder of miscellaneous photographs document Waldo Schmitt's work during the Hancock Pacific-Galapagos Expeditions, 1933-1935. Some photographs have descriptions on the reverse. Subject matter includes rocky coastline; detail images of birds, their nests, and surrounding vegetation; fur seals; views of coastline from aboard ship; coral; island structures; candid images of participants; cacti; and reptiles. Locations include the vicinity of Ecuador in Galapagos Islands [Archipiélago de Colón] and Mexico (Tenacatita). Also mentions Socorro and Crater Lake.
