This field book contains a catalogue of specimen numbered 5746-6984 which Chittenden collected or which was collected by others and numbered according to Chittenden's directions between approximately 1901 to 1923, bulk dates 1915-1923. Chittenden and his colleagues collected Lepidoptera including cutworms), Diptera, Beetles (Coleoptera), Hemiptera (including white flies and aphids), and other insect groups, many or all of which are parasitic. Collecting took place in the United States, Mexico, and possibly other countries. Some frequently recorded locations include Wisconsin, Iowa, Washington, DC, and Virginia.
