Abstract

This reel of 16mm film depicts the field trip of William M. Mann and his wife Lucile Quarry Mann to Brazil and Argentina to collect animals for the National Zoological Park. The film includes footage of scenery taken from a boat and panning film out of a moving train. Also included are rodents (possibly opossums), a William Mann with a hippo, skunks, ostriches, swans, and other birds. The film is silent, black and white, and color, 275 feet, 7.6 minutes long. Users can view this film from the reference copy on VHS at videotape player counter number 000. The reference copy also includes other films, mostly taken at the National Zoological Park.
