Abstract

This item consists of a plant catalog compiled by N.L. Britton and J.N. Rose representing specimens from the Caesalpiniaceae family collected in various localities in Central and South America and the Caribbean from around 1805-1928. Entries typically consist of scientific name, collection date, distribution, and locality and sometimes include the name of the plant taxonomist for the naming of the specimen. Localities include: Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, French Guiana, Dutch Guiana (now known as Suriname), British Guiana (now known as Guyana), Bolivia, Jamaica,Trinidad and other unnamed Caribbean islands.
