Abstract

This item contains entries regarding Bailey's activities and his observations of plant and animal life in Washington, D.C. from January 25, 1933-August 1, 1933. The notebook also includes narrative entries documenting Bailey's trip to Pennsylvania in May and June of 1933, with particular focus on his research on beavers and rodents. Localities in Pennsylvania include Coudersport and Harrisburg. The last entry in the notebook also notes Bailey's retirement from government work.
