Abstract

This item refers to 4 field books of Robert R. Fleet and William O. Wirtz from their work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Kure Island, 1965. Envelope 1 and 2 contains field books of Robert R. Fleet from his work on Kure March-April 1965. The books include field notes with bird and nest descriptions; shorebird counts; and banding data (listing band numbers 587-53964 to 737-98276). Envelope 3 contains a field book by William O. Wirtz, March-May 1965. The book includes bird counts; bird banding data (listing bands 605-12781 to 737-93042); seal data including measurements; and field notes on seal mating behaviors.
