Abstract

This item refers to 3 field books by R. A. Sundell, William O. Wirtz, and Robert R. Fleet from their work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Kure Island, 1964. Envelope 1 contains a field book with shorebird counts, field data, and seal data by R. A. Sundell, June-July 1964. Seal data includes measurements of girth, length, and flippers for seals and seal pups. Envelope 2 contains a field book by William O. Wirtz with bird descriptions; bird counts; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 597-84119 to 793-98200). Envelope 3 contains a field book by Robert R. Fleet with field notes; shorebird counts; and bird banding data (listing band numbers 643-49135 to 793-29008). Envelope 4 contains a second field book by Fleet, with observations of birds, mating, chick feeding, and weather; bird counts indicated with tally marks; and banding notes and data (listing band numbers 667-35202 to 793-20601).
