Abstract

This item is primarily comprised of Bailey's lists of plant and animal specimens collected or observed in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky; Texas; New Mexico; and Arizona dated April 16-October 1, 1929. Localities in Arizona include areas in and around Grand Canyon National Park including "El Tover"(possibly near the El Tovar Hotel), Bright Angel Point (also known as North Rim), and Kaibab Plateau, Dated entries provide information on locality and typically identify specimens by scientific name, or by common name if scientific name is unknown. Annotated maps of this region are contained in Box 5 Folder 13 of the same collection.
