Abstract

This field book contains notes Knab took from 25 June 1905 to 10 May 1909 on mosquitos and mosquito larvae, and possibly other Diptera and other insects in the Mexico and several countries in Central America. Knab's notes of collecting are extremely detailed and often include weather and environmental conditions and physical descriptions of specimens. Knab collects in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Florida, and Saskatchewan. These notes also contain specimen numbers 280-442. A separate list of specimen containing numbers 190-562 from 2 February 1908 to 10 May 1909.
