Abstract

The fifth of five diaries document Waldo Schmitt's work during Walter Rathbone Bacon Traveling Scholarship Expedition to the West Coast of South America, 1926-1927. Dates covers March 7 - June 6, 1927. Entries are dated and are journal style. Entries describe issues and incidents during travel; accommodations; opinions and observations about places and people; narratives; collecting specimens; and weather. Includes loose inserts. Locations include Brazil (Bahia) and the Falkland Islands.
