Abstract

Waldo Schmitt was a recipient of the Walter Rathbone Bacon Traveling Scholarship. The second of three volumes documents his work during the Walter Rathbone Bacon Traveling Scholarship Expedition to the East Coast of South America, during September 10, 1925 - October 22, 1925. Subject matter discusses interactions and work with colleagues, museums and other locations frequented, personal and professional activities, collecting specimens (sometimes , locations, weather, and expenses. At the back of the book is a lists (may be specimens) with locations and details listed. Locations include locations in Brazil: Iapó, São Paulo and Rio Negro. Includes letter in German. Contains botanical specimens.
