Abstract

This record refers to 6 field books created by A. Binion Amerson, C. D. Hackman, Robert L. Pyle, and Philip C. Shelton from their work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program on Manana Island, May 1966. Envelope 1 contains a field book by C. D. Hackman. This book includes notes on ectoparasites (numbers I-714 to I-721); list of hatch and mortality numbers (transect numbers 1-7); band lists for Sooty tern and Wedge-tailed shearwater returns (band numbers 625-34136 to 923-06400); and a hand-drawn map. Envelope 2 contains a field book by Philip C. Shelton that contains a list of hatch and mortality numbers, and a band list for returns (band numbers 642-03601 to 923-04635). Envelope 3 contains a field book by A. Binion Amerson with field notes and a list of returns (bird band numbers 753-40138 to 773-47274). Envelope 4 contains a field book by C. D. Hackman that includes field notes and return lists (band numbers 615-03593 to 923-06401). Envelope 5 contains a field book by Robert L. Pyle that includes banding data for recaptures and new bandings (band numbers 625-31236 to 923-07904). Envelope 6 contains a field book by Philip C. Shelton that includes brief field notes; a list of returns and new bands (band numbers 753-40038 to 923-09200).
