Abstract

This record refers to 5 field books created by Richard S. Crossin, Charles A. Ely, C. D. Hackman, and Richard L. Maze from their work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program in 1965 on Manana Island. Envelope 1 contains a field book by Charles A. Ely that includes banding notes and banding data (with band numbers 625-30551 to 763-99300) for work conducted on Manana Island and Rabbit Island.Envelope 2 contains a field book by Richard L. Maze that includes bird banding notes for band numbers 615-03565 to 645-01800. Also included is a hand-drawn map of Common sooty and Wedge-tail shearwater colonies. Envelope 3 contains a field book by C. D. Hackman and unbound field notes by T. James Lewis. Hackman's field book consists of bird banding notes (band numbers 615-02638 to 793-29356). Lewis' notes include banding lists with band numbers 625-30747 to 763-99200. Envelope 4 contains a field book by Richard S. Crossin with field notes and banding data (band numbers 615-02722 to 763-99501). Envelope 5 contains a field book, author unknown, containing two brief bird banding lists (band numbers 625-38101 to 625-39300).
