This folder contains materials relating to Hubbard's field research in Jamaica and Monserrat and miscellaneous notes that may be field notes. "Jamaican notes" relates to Hubbar's collecting trip to Jamaica in 1877 and is a manuscript that may have been written for a talk. The rest of the folder contains notes relating to Hubbard's trip to Montserrat in 1894. A typewritten copy and manuscript copy of a USDA Division of Entomology report Hubbard wrote on his "observations and experiments on insects infesting limes and other plants" in Montserrat is included along with miscellaneous notes (possibly field notes) with specimen numbers 20-68. A compiled list "biological material collected by H. G. Hubbard in Montserrat B.W.I. March and April 1894" with numbers 1-74 is also included. Other miscellaneous notes and sketches, possibly in preparation for a report or publication, are found throughout the folder. Correspondence on sugar cane disease from 1893 is included. A list of Coleoptera from the West Indies in the National Museum of Natural History Collections is also included.
