Abstract

This field book is a continuation of "Field notes, Arizona, 1897" and contains a narrative account of Hubbard's collecting trip to Arizona 6 April to 9 July 1897. His descriptions of collecting often note the specific location (including geological features) he collected and on what surface the insect was found on (e.g. in or on a plant, under a log, on the ground). Insects collected include but are not limited to beetles (Coleoptera) and scales and other Hemiptera. Locations Hubbard collected in include Tucson, Rillito, Wilcox, Chiricahua Mountains, Yuma, and possibly other locations in Arizona.
