Abstract

This item consists of unbound field notes by D. I Hoff, L. N. Huber, Ralph W. Schreiber, David W. Burckhalter, and J. H. Finch from their work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, Kauai-Kilauea Point, in 1967. Notes by Hoff and Huber include a sera list and bird and other animal observations by Huber. Field notes by Hoff include bird observations; sera lists; bird banding data; bird counts; and hand-drawn maps of bird colonies. Schreiber's notes include a hand-drawn map of bird colonies on Kauai; bird population counts; and field notes with observations of bird behaviors. Hoff and Burckhalter's notes include burrow observations with egg counts; bird banding data; hand-drawn maps, possibly of colonies; and bird counts. The notes of J. H. Fitch include descriptive field notes on weather, bird observations, and some journal-type entries; nest and egg data; burrow observations; molt data; sera lists; population estimates; and bird banding data.
