Abstract

This item consists of Archer's field notes from specimen no. 2224-3428 collected and observed in South America and the West Indies. The notebook also includes notes on fish poisons. Data within the field book include specimen no., scientific name if known, locality and date of collection, common name, general descriptive data, for example use of plants or physical description of plants. Localities include the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guyana (including the Georgetown Botanical Gardens), Suriname, Venezuela. The notebook also also includes an "abbreviation key to additional or supplementary collections" on the first page of the notebook.
