Abstract

This item is comprised of typed and handwritten field notes from Archer's collecting endeavors in Colombia from February 20, 1930 to March 24, 1931. Dated specimen data begin and end at Medellín, Antioquia department. Localities are primarily from this department and often in the vicinity of Medellín, the department capital. Entries typically describe the specimen in size, color, scientific name and sometime include growing conditions. The book also includes a letter from R.A. Toro to Archer regarding literature on the Rubiaceae of Colombia. Also included is a brief bibliography on publications dealing with the flora of Colombia compiled by Archer. The field book is primarily in English, but does include one list written in Spanish. The item is a companion item to Book 1 from the same collection.
