Abstract

This field book is comprised of lists of Allen's botanical collecting efforts from Costa Rica from 1948-1954. Entries describe Allen's specimen no. 5202-6646. Plants are typically identified by either scientific and common name. Most entries also contain narrative description of locality and physical description of specimen particularly color of flowers or fruits. Elevation is typically noted with locality name. Dated entries begin at the "Esquinas Experiment Station" on September 9, 1948 and end at Esquinas Forest on November 20, 1952.
