Abstract

The notes document M. Moynihan's observations of Thranpis bird (Tanagers), 1957-1961. Pages are numbered. Entries are headed with date, location, and type. Observations describe individual, pairs, and groups of wild and captive birds as well as their appearance, behavior, songs, sex, during chases, feeding, and parenting. Inlcudes illustrations of birds and notations indicated with pattern and color. There are references to other notes. Locations include Frijoles, Barro Colorado Island and Gamboa, Panama; Calzada de Inaguito and Cerro Pichincha, Ecuador.
