Of special interest are photographs of the United States Fish Commission's laboratories at Woods Hole, Massachusetts, in the 1880s. Locations include Greenland, Canada, Panama, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, and Kansas, and California.
