This collection consists Perrygo's field notes and photographs from 1928-1940 and is a part of a larger collection of Perrygo's papers with the same record unit number (Record Unit 7306). The notes document Perrygo's collecting endeavors in Haiti and Cuba from 1928-1930,and from Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina from 1936-1940. The collection also includes a documentary film created using footage Perrygo shot on the Wetmore-Perrygo Expeditions to Panama to collect ornithological specimens. The footage was shot on collecting trips from 1950-1953. Specimen collecting in Haiti is documented with photographs and a list of fish specimens collected on these trips. Perrygo traveled to Haiti and Cuba with Arthur J. Poole from 1928-1929 and with Lee Hamilton Parish and his family on the Parish-Smithsonian Expedition, 1930. He collected various zoological specimens from the mountainous states of the south eastern United States (primarily Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina) from 1936-1940. The collection contains detailed itineraries of these U.S. collecting trips and includes a notebook of lists of bird specimens, particularly Passeriformes, observed and taken from the field in South Carolina in 1940. Also included are three photographs documenting the collection of paleontological specimens from Rampart Cave, Arizona.
