This collection is comprised of hand-written copies of field notes created by William Henry Brewer from collecting and observation efforts throughout the state of California from 1860-1867 in the course of his work on the Geological Survey of California. Brewer pays particular attention to the trees of the region. The collection is comprised of 3 bound volumes representing specimen numbers 1-6587.
