Description

The collection is primarily comprised of Axel A. Olsson's field notes, circa 1915 - 1974, 1988. The volumes document his observations and specimen collecting across Central and South America, primarily in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. He also collected across the eastern United States. Much of this work was completed during his career in petroleum exploration. Field books frequently include notes he kept relating to publications he studied relating to field work sites, as well as details relating to photographs taken.
