Description

This collection consists of the field notes and related materials of Floyd Alonzo McClure. Most materials are diary-type entries that mention field work in the Caribbean region and also in China where McClure lived and worked for a large portion of his career. Locations include McClure's home province of Canton, as well as Hainan (China), as well as Guatemala, Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States (Florida, Texas). Includes a folder of black-and-white photographs of Florida and Texas.|Only a portion of the materials in SIA Accession T90028 were cataloged. Those that were not cataloged include research notes, biographical files, published materials, reports, diary entries that did not seem to mention field work, and other non-field documentation.
