Description

This collection contains 2 field books and 3 folders by J. Philip Angle and David Bridge, originally maintained by the Division of Birds. This material is all relating to a 1971 expedition aboard the R/V Hero to Isla de los Estados (Staten Island), Argentina. Dates for this collection range from 1971-1977, and localities include but may not be limited to areas within the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. Materials include bird specimen lists and checklists with field notes, maps, correspondence, reference material, and miscellaneous loose notes. For specimen lists detailed information is provided, as well as field numbers and United States National Museum (USNM) numbers. There are descriptions of the R/V Hero's course, as well as inventory lists and package information.
