Description

This collection is composed of 3 field books belonging to Elmer Applegate documenting his botanical collecting and observing endeavors from 1897-1898. Applegate's botanical research at this time was particularly focused on the trees and shrubs of Oregon. Specimen no. 2001-2905 are represented in a hand written, bound field catalog. Unnumbered specimen are represented in typed, unbound notes are contained in two folders.
