Description

This collection record describes only the two field books within the "Harry K. Harring Papers, 1910-1923, 1929 and undated". For a description of non-field book materials, including research notes, see the link to the Smithsonian Institution finding aid for the Harring Papers under the "Related Items" portion of this record. Of the two field book within this collection, only one was created by Harry K. Harring (1871-1928). This field book contains notes on the fresh water zooplankton of Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland taken from 1910 to 1915. The other field book was created by Francis John Dyer (1864-1924) while in Honduras in 1915 and 1916. This field book contains notes on fresh water zooplankton, particularly rotifers.
