Description

Chapin compiled field books during his travels to Jamaica and Cuba (1937,1941), Colombia (1942), and Chile (1945). Field books are typed and paginated, with journal style entries, giving detailed descriptions of travel, interactions with colleagues, collecting activities. Materials with the field notes include photographs, news clippings from the countries visited, and official correspondence.
