Biographical History

Edwin Horace Bryan, 1898-1985, studied botany and entomology at the College of Hawaii. He worked as Assistant in Entomology at the Bishop Museum, then as Map Librarian, and he became Curator of the Museum. In 1960 he founded the Pacific Scientific Information center at the Bishop Museum. His work on Hawaii was referenced in field notes from the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program field research records.
