Biographical History

Suzanne Ripley received a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1965. She served as a Research Associate in primatology at the Smithsonian from 1967 to 1970. Her research led her to Ceylon, where she participated in one of the first primate surveys which observed inter-troop behavior and ecology.
