Biographical History

Vladimir Walters attended Cornell University where he earned a B.S. (1947) and M.S. (1948). He earned his Ph.D. from New York University (1954). Walters held various jobs during his career including: assistant curator of fishes at the American Museum of Natural History; professor in zoology at the University of California at Los Angeles; and fisheries research biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service.
